You Are Accepted

Whenever our hearts make us feel guilty and remind us of our failures, we know that God is much greater and more merciful than our conscience, and he knows everything there is to know about us. My delightfully loved friends, when our hearts don’t condemn us, we have bold freedom to speak face-to-face with God.
1 John 3:20-21 TPT
In this passage, we see that God is much greater and more merciful in his thoughts toward us than even our conscience. Often we find that the only thing keeping us from spending time with Jesus is a sense of not be good enough. Our hearts condemn us, leaving us feeling uninvited and orphaned from the Presence of Abba. Know that you are accepting into the beloved (Eph 1:6). You are in Christ (Ehp 2:6). You belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to the Father ( Col 3:23). We have been invited into a relational experience with the Father by way of the Son. Christ's death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and enthronement was and is for you. Abba wants a relationship with you as sons and daughters. Jesus has reconciled you to the father (Col 1:19-20)
Perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18), which includes the fear of judgment, the fear of rejection, and the list goes on. Jesus said If you have seen me, you have seen the Father (Jn 14:9). Christ did not die to save you from the Father. Jesus said I am in the Father, and He is in me (Jn 14:11). You see, there is no separation; they are in perfect union. So if we are in Christ and Christ is in the Father, there is no separation. We are, by way of the Holy Spirit, in perfect union with Abba. Don’t let anyone or anything tell you otherwise. Abba sees you, he knows everything about you, and He is delighted with you, He is fascinated with you, and He cherishes you. Don’t let a lie about “doing enough” to please Him hinder you from knowing you are already enough. You can’t love God fully with a broken heart. Let God bind up your broken heart. Stop hiding, and know that closeness to Him fixes everything, and you are already there. Just believe and experience reconciliation.
To quote one of my favorite artists:
“You are not a fruitless tree with a rootless dessert Grown in a bucket in a rich mans home Next to the TV, tamed and alone Like an armchair worrier who’s been dethroned.”-Josh Garrels, All Creatures: Album Lost Animals 2009
The most crucial part of becoming an Overcomer is to have a revelation of God as Abba and “You” as a beloved Child. This knowledge will have to be more than “I read it in a book” or “I heard it in a sermon.” No, that won’t be enough to get you through. It has to be a revelatory encounter with the Holy Spirit. That is what seeking God is all about.
